Drift Diver
Sometimes the best dive plan is to go with the flow.
Drift diving lets the current do the work while you enjoy the ride — but diving in moving water requires its own set of skills and planning.
The PADI Drift Diver Specialty teaches you how to comfortably and safely dive in currents while maintaining buddy contact, controlling your position and coordinating your dive with surface support.
Availability: Contact us for booking information
During two training dives, you’ll learn:
- How to assess and plan for currents
- Drift diving entries and exits
- Maintaining buddy contact while drifting
- Buoyancy and positioning in moving water
- Using surface marker equipment
- Procedures for staying together as a group
- Communicating with and being located by surface support
Drift diving can be relaxing, exciting and an entirely different experience from diving a stationary site.
Booked on demand: Drift Diver courses are arranged when suitable conditions and locations are available. Contact Dirty Adventures Scuba to discuss upcoming training opportunities.
