Some of the most exciting dive sites are beyond the limits of your Open Water certification. The PADI Deep Diver Specialty gives you the training and experience to safely and confidently plan and complete recreational dives to depths of up to 40 metres / 130 feet.
With Dirty Adventures Scuba, you’ll build on the skills you already have while gaining practical experience with the additional planning, equipment considerations and procedures that come with deeper diving.

During your training, you’ll complete four deep dives with a PADI instructor and learn:
- How to plan and execute deep dives
- Depth limits and recreational diving considerations
- Gas management and increased air consumption at depth
- Buoyancy control and safe ascent procedures
- Safety stops and emergency procedures
- How depth can affect you and your equipment
- Recognizing and managing nitrogen narcosis
- Equipment considerations for deeper diving
Deep Diver certification is a great next step for divers looking to expand their abilities and access deeper wrecks and dive sites — especially here in the Great Lakes, where some incredible diving lies beyond 18 metres / 60 feet.
